There are over 12,000,000 visitors to Florence, Italy EVERY YEAR! Studentsville’s latest film interns, Alex & Andy from England, took to the streets to talk with the tourists and find out just what it is that Florence has got.

A note from the filmmakers:

Hello, I’m Andrew Wood…

Tower of Pisa Pose…a student at the University of Wolverhampton, England and I am currently working towards a Foundation Degree in ‘Commercial Video Production’. I am trained in camera operation and have worked with a range of different types of camera’s from DSLR’s to full HD camcorders such as the Sony Z5. I am also trained in the usage of editing software such as Final cut pro 7 and X as well as Adobe Premier Pro CS5. My dream is to become my own successful film director as I love to bring stories to life through visual media so I can share and spread the experiences and feelings I felt gone though and still feel and go through when watching my favourite films. I am always looking for the next opportunity that will help to expand and improve my skills in video production.

I thoroughly enjoyed working for Studentsville and found it to be a great experience.

Ciao! My name’s Alex Dunnaker…

Tourist Photo Tower of Pisa…I’m 19 years old, and like my friend Andrew, I too am a student of Wolverhampton University, England. I am currently studying ‘Commercial Video Production.’ When I’m older, I want to become a director, with one of my goals being to create a unique series of films. Even if they’re poorly received, I can still say that I’ve done it, and that’s all that matters. I want to get as much experience in video making as possible, so creating the Vox Pop for Studentsville was definitely fun. Video making while exploring a city I’ve never visited before? That’s the very definition of a good experience. While the language barrier did get in the way sometimes, I think that Andrew and myself managed to make a good video.

If you want to get in touch with me, feel free to send me an email at: (yes, I am a Doctor Who fan).

Thanks for making our work experience here in Florence a great one!

Andy and Alex
