Private Flat #5 is the fifth anniversary of a contemporary art initiative that uses the homes of artists, curators and everyday citizens as exhibition spaces, offering an innovative and experimental way of experiencing art in the city.
A network of homes scattered from San Frediano all the way to the hills of San Miniato create a vibrant, organic art museum that blankets the whole city. The mission of the project is to insert the citizen (whether knowingly or unknowingly) into the mechanisms of art production by infiltrating both public and private spaces. The event is sponsored by Diversamente (”differently’), a forward-thinking Florentine PR and communication company and Casa della Creativita’ (”house of creativity”), a poly-functional modern art center.
