What happens when International Design encounters Fendi’s high quality and workmanship?

The 15th and 16th of June FENDI and IED Firenze (Institue of European Design) present “Fatto a Mano for the Future”, an event held at the FENDI boutique, at via Degli Strozzi 21/r, Florence.

“Fatto a Mano for the Future” will be held during Pitti Immagine Uomo and involves the collaboration between a Designer and a Fendi artisan that will work together in the store to create limited edition Design pieces with Fendi leather.

Interactive Designer and IED professor T. Robert Nachtigall will work for the 2 days of the event with a Fendi in-house artisan to create leather lamps and chandeliers that respond to the customers movements, incorporating principles of Interaction Design, Robotics and Programming into the tactire and visual beauty of the Fendi materials.

The IED Florence students of the One Year in Fashion Marketing and Communication course will actively participate by enhancing the event through Social Media and Live Blogging for the duration of the entire event.
