So far it has been a long Florence Art Week (September 16-24), with more than one opening. Olafur Eliasson, Erwin Wurm, Tony Cragg, Henri Moore, Ra di Martino – just to name a few male Western artists who have an ongoing exhibition in the Tuscan city.
The old town, worlwide known for being the cradle of Reinassance, has been under attack by contemporary art and artists for some time now. The fight is unequal, the war has a foregone conclusion. But every battle must be fought to the end.
Olafur Eliasson – Nel tuo tempo (In your time)
It might be the most disappointing exhibition you have ever seen and at the same time one of the most interesting shows you have ever attended. Therein lies the weak strength of ‘In Your Time – Olafur Eliasson’ at Palazzo Strozzi in Florence until 23 January 2023.
Everything is relative. Truth is not effective.
