Hello everybody!

As most of you know (if you’re following the Studentsville facebook page like you should) today was my last day in the office. I’m feeling kind of sad – and by kind of I mean really, really sad – that my time in Florence is coming to a close. My friends in different programs are beginning to leave, my classes are wrapping up, and my weekends to travel are becoming fewer and fewer. I feel like there is so much more that I wanted to do and see during my time here in Europe, but at the same time I look back at where I’ve gone and what I’ve done and I can’t even believe the past four months have been real. I’ve stepped foot in six different countries and 27 different cities and have seen things that I could have never even dreamed I would see in my lifetime. I have gained countless friendships with people who have made my time in Italy truly unforgettable and I know that those relationships and memories will stay with me for the rest of my life.

During these last four months I’ve also gained so much experience academically and professionally. Being enrolled at FUA really gave me the opportunity to take a wide variety of classes and really broaden my horizons. From fashion courses, to advertising courses, with Italian language and Art History in between, I learned all aspects of Italian culture and what it truly means to be “Made in Italy.”

But to the most important part – My time here at Studentsville and dotflorence have been more rewarding than I could have ever imagined. I have been given so many opportunities to showcase my passion and talents in a real life setting and gained professional experience and recognition along the way. I have been exposed to the Italian work environment, learned many new skills, and have been thrown into situations I have never had to deal with before and I couldn’t be more proud of how everything turned out. I know this is getting suuuuper sappy, but I dont care. I will truly miss everyone here in the office and the whole world needs to know it.

In case you didn’t see what I did at work today…

But this is totally not true… if I never come back to Florence I will be heartless for eternity because Firenze has truly stolen my heart. So there’s my totally over emotional farewell post. If you haven’t liked my photo on the Studentsville facebook page GO LIKE IT. It will make me feel better. Yes this is a shameless plug. It’s my last day… DO IT.

You guys have truly been great. Thank you for a wonderful semester. Until next time…

CIAO BAMBINO!!!
