Art, music and gastronomy to experience again the Middle Ages in Siena, 700 years after the relase of the Sienese Constitution….
Between September 2009 and May 2010, on the occasion of the seven-hundredth anniversary of the Constitution, Siena offers a list of events to enhance the town as an artistic, social and cultural model of the Middle Ages and in particular of the Gothic age (XIV century).
For the first time Siena, town of the Palio horse race, opens to the public all the seventeen Quarters museums and it will be possible to join the special medieval markets in the shell-shaped Piazza del Campo.
Theatre events, tasting at Enoteca Italiana, religious routes, special guided tours in unique spots and many more activities concerning cultural, scientific, musical and gastronomic aspects will take place in the town centre, which is an ideal setting to live through the medieval atmosphere.
