The free-thinking festival under the slogan “World Peace, via a bed”

The Student Hotel, the leader of hybrid hospitality in Europe, is finally landing in Florence and will celebrate the opening of its brand-new hybrid hotel in Viale Spartaco Lavagnini on Thursday 7 June with BedTalks, The Student Hotel’s signature free-thinking festival. It is a free event, open to everyone, and a way of saying hello to the local community.

BedTalks Florence Lavagnini will focus on fashion, art, education and modern entrepreneurism. More than 100 speakers have been invited to share stories, experiences, and knowledge with the aim to commit to projects to create a better world. Guests can listen to and join the talks, and share their opinions and experiences in a truly collaborative and inclusive way.

The best idea will be rewarded with 365 Pack: 365 days of free office space, 365 hours of free meeting rooms, 365 cups of coffee, 365 paper clips 36,5% discount on hotel rooms to make his or her vision, reality.

The most frequent question among people who don’t know BedTalks is:

why a bed?

Well, there are two reasons. First of all, the founders of BedTalks were inspired by the famous scene of John Lennon and Yoko Ono in bed in Amsterdam asking for World Peace, back in 1969. Moreover, a bed is a place where the most intimate and confidential conversations happen and consequently perfect for Bedtalks, which wants to turn the idea of conference into an inclusive and relaxing chat between people who want to change the world.

Are you wondering who will be the speakers at Bedtalks Florence? It’s a surprise but just to give you an idea, some of them will be: fashion director Daniele Cavalli, DJ Marco Faraone, cultural entrepreneur Paolo Petrocelli, and journalist Consuelo Blocker.

Moreover, the event will be spiced up with many different workshops, music, performing art, food and drinks, taking place between 3 PM and 9 PM.
