We’ve talked about beaches, and we’ve talked about food, we’ve talked about celebrities, and we’ve really talked about a variety of different things that make Italy what it is today, and what it is in everyone’s mind. What have we not talked about is one of the most underrated parts of Italy: The Italian Countryside, it’s an amazing way to see the reality of what Italy once was, and how the beautiful small towns in Italy were integral to the survival of Italian pre-war culture. 

The most famous is no doubt the Tuscan Countryside, considered by some the best countryside in Italy, but that is for you to say. You can already see it from Florence, and you can also go enjoy some wine tasting in the Chianti region.  But I don’t want to just talk Tuscan countryside, rather I’m here to talk about the Italian Countryside in general, and give you a fair selection of places to visit while you’re in this amazing country, for studies or for pleasure.

Actually, before we embark I want to say that another reason to visit the countryside, is to enjoy some Italian countryside dishes cause you can’t pass on world-renown plates made with freshly picked ingredients, cause that’s another bonus of that countryside life.

Val D’Orcia, Tuscany

The views of Tuscany countryside Italy that you really can’t miss is the one in the Val D’Orcia. Not far from Siena you’ll get to see some of the most amazing hills and valleys that your eyes will get a chance to look at.

Chianti, Tuscany

We know you’re probably also going to look for some Italy countryside tours and the Chianti Region in Tuscany is definitely the most visited in all of Italy, plus what is better than a guided tour through the countryside and a nice wine tasting to end it all.

Montefalco, Umbria

Umbria is the lesser-known neighbor of Tuscany, it sits sit next to it and has a very similar nature to its celebrity next door. The main difference is that you’ll find a lot less tourism in Umbria while enjoying a somewhat wilder nature.

Camerano, Le Marche

Ancona is the biggest city in Le Marche, and itself is a coastal city, but its location is also immersed in the countryside nature. You have to go visit one of the vineyards around the city, or even just take a car and drive for a couple hours you’ll be astonished like to Camerano.

Aymavilles, Valle D’Aosta

I went north to find some amazing countryside for you, and I bring you Aymavilles. You’re thinking why did I just drop a French town in? It ain’t French its part of Valle D’Aosta one of the northern regions of Italy. Here you get to drink some really good white wine but like the best.

Sacro Monte di Varese, Lombardia

You know that if you’re looking for something you’ll find it on StudentsVille right? me and the SEO masters here know that you’re looking for that Milan Italy countryside that’s why I’m leaving you with the Sacro Monte di Varese, just an hour by train out of the city. Real nice walk to get to this town overlooking the countryside.

Alberobello, Puglia

You’ve probably never heard the name, but you already know about the location. You know those white little “gnome” houses in southern Italy? Those are the Trulli a staple of southern Italy countryside, to be specific to the Pugliese countryside.
