While I would argue that it is nearly impossible to get sick of Italian food, there is no doubt that cravings hit hard and cannot be stopped. There are times when only fajitas or fried rice will satisfy; and the good news is Florence has you covered. So if you find yourself needing a break from the pizza, pasta, and Panini (we’ve all been there), here are the places you should try.

Via dei Serragli, 114, 50124 Firenze
With no seating and super low prices, Mame has the best Greek wraps in Florence and possibly all of Europe (Greece aside). Choose from a variety of meats or falafel for a wrap with seasoned fries, tzaziki sauce, and vegetable toppings of your choice. Mame also has salad options as well as smaller sweet Greek dishes. While the restaurant just opened recently, it has already become a favorite in the are

If you’re craving…Mexican
Via Ghibellina, 156r, 50122 Firenze
Tijuana is the best place in Florence to get your margarita fix. The restaurant is warm and welcoming and has all your favorite Mexican dishes to choose from. I would recommend the fajitas but the menu is huge and also has tacos, burritos, enchiladas and more. Be sure to go during happy hour for cheap margaritas and Mexican drinks.

If you’re craving…Sushi
Via Il Prato, 64, 50123 Firenze
Step into Hoseki and you’ll feel like you’re in your favorite sushi restaurant from home, not Florence, Italy. The menu goes beyond sushi and also has fried rice, noodles, and other main courses. The restaurant only uses fresh fish and you will taste that in the sushi. Hoseki is the place to go if you’re in need of rice that isn’t risotto.

If you’re craving… an American cup of coffee!!
Via della Chiesa, 34R, 50125 Firenze
There are times when nothing sounds better than a large cup of coffee. Unfortunately in Florence it seems the only options are cappuccino or a small espresso. So when you are looking for a true American brew, head to Mama’s Bakery. While you’re there you can also get your fix of bagels, salads with dressing, and cooked bacon.

If you’re craving…a hamburger
Via dell’Ariento, 50123 Firenze
This is the best way to get your hamburger fix while still staying true to Florentine culture. The second floor of the Mercato Centrale has a variety of vendors and restaurants, including the best hamburger in Florence from L’Hamburger di Chianina. Let your friends still get their Italian food while you munch on a burger and fries. Dining here also allows you to finish the meal with an Italian dessert.
